bluegeekSo I finished it after dinner with my parents today. That episode was... excruciating to get through. I was dying of embarrassment squick.
That said, once they actually got to proper music numbers, I was having a good time. Vocal Adrenaline (?) was pretty awesome considering they made me actually enjoy a song I've never cared for before, and the Schuester's "Leaving on a Jet Plane" was very nice.
Rachel Berry makes me want to scream. Not in a good way. This seems intentional, though, so I guess the show succeeded? Please tell me she turns into a somewhat more bearable and sympathetic character? I kinda liked her in the "Born This Way" episode from this season. I hope that wasn't a fluke.
How tall is that Finn kid? Cuz gracious he was towering over everybody. And even when standing up for himself/glee he still seems all wishy-washy. He's really the quarterback? Aren't they supposed to have leadership skills or something?
Whats-her-name Schue's wife is nauseating me with her talk of her exhausting 4-hour shifts on her feet. Bitch please.
Sue Sylvester is... amazing. I think I'm going to absolutely love to hate her. Let's leave it at that for now.
So in the 2.5 episodes I've seen I've rather adored Kurt and his hilarious facial expressions and snark. When do we get that? Because I didn't really see it here.
Also, I don't remember what's-her-face stuttering in the later episodes I saw. I guess she gets over that with the healing power of glee club? Or something?
Cheerleader-girl putting the brakes on her makeout session to pray? Ahahahahahahahaha! Excellent diversion of raging teenage hormones.
Emma. Oh Emma. With your eyes and sweetness and excuses to not date the football coach. Why do I think I'm going to like you, even though I hate the "pining-after-the-married/taken-man/woman" storyline?
Schuester - so he's qualified to be an accountant, but teaches music and Spanish at the high school? What?
Mercedes - *hearts* Respect, indeed! She can belt it out. I want more of the "background singers" please?
Loved "Don't Stop Believing". That was the first Glee song I'd ever heard (in a star trek fanvid, in fact) and I still love it. Nice too see it here.
I think I'm going to need at lest one glee icon in case I manage to keep doing glee reaction posts. Any suggestions?
In other news, I just sank $512 into my car right before going on vacation. That is just lovely, dontcha think?
